The Ramshorn Snail will play an important role in the overall balance/ecosystem of your Pond, feeding on Algae which they clean from the underwater surface areas of your plants (see video on our homepage) and pond as well as other unwanted debris. They do not feed on plants as other snails do. They also provide fresh eggs which fish will feed on.
You will receive 10 Black Ramshorn Snails up to 20mm as shown in the images above. As a guide we suggest 10 snails to be sufficient for a Small Pond. These snails are native and resilient to the UK weather conditions and during the winter months they will spend their time on the base of the pond - they will spend more time towards the surface when water temperatures climb.
